PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ROYAL CANIN® Cardiac is scientifically formulated to support heart function in cases of chronic cardiac disease. Recommended for (indications): Adult dogs with symptoms of heart disease, hypertensionNot recommended for (contraindications): Pregnancy, lactation and growth. THE BENEFITS Cardiac support : Taurine and L-carnitine are essential for myocyte function and they also enhanceheart contractility. Vascular support : Polyphenols contribute to vasodilation and help neutralise free radicals. EPA & DHA : Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA) havean anti-inflammatory effect and help to reduce cardiac cachexia and improve food intake. Low sodium : Low sodium diets reduce the retention ofwater and sodium. This can minimise the risk of developing hypertension and reducesthe cardiac workload. This significant restriction enables the veterinarian tochoose a reasoned sodium supplement when required.
