Description

Calmivet can be used to sedate dogs and cats. The active ingredient, acepromazine, has a sedative effect on the central nervous system, thereby calming the animal with muscle relaxation. It also causes an indifference to the surrounding environment and reduces anxiety, nervousness and aggressive reactions. Effect will be noticeable 10 – 30 minutes after administration. Sedative effect lasts between 4 and 8 hours. If necessary, treatment can be repeated after 3 to 6 hours. However, prolonged use is not recommended. Should only be administered to relaxed animals.
